A very rare and special example of an aged Malvasia Volcanica dry wine. Elegant and expressive, it reveals aromas of tropical fruit, citrus peel, subtle toasted oak, and volcanic minerality. A refined balance of ripe fruit, texture, and complexity.

Vijariego (Diego) 2018:

An exotic white wine from a lesser-produced but highly sought-after grape known as Diego on Lanzarote. It has a vibrant acidity and remarkable character. Notes of white flowers, stone fruit, herbs, and saline minerality lead to a long, energetic finish.

Excellent wines at reasonable prices: these are not large scale ‘industrial’ vineyards but small artisanal vineyards working on uncompromising terroir with locally specific varietals like Malvasia. Unique wines & vermouths, so naturally slightly more expensive than run-of-the-mill stuff, but top quality and definitely worth it. And I had very good service from Ollie & Co.
