A young lees aged dry white wine, from Bodega La Geria flagship "Manto" range.

At optimal ripeness, the grapes are harvested manually from the deep "hoyos" of La Geria's proprietary vineyards and other premium sites in the region. After a rigorous selection process, the grapes are destemmed and the pre-fermentation maceration is performed to extract maximum aroma and flavour. Fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature of 15–16°C, which helps preserve the fruit's primary aromas.

Once fermentation is complete, the wine is aged on its own lees for two months in stainless steel tanks. During this time, batonnage is carried out to enhance the wine's texture and complexity.

Bodega La Geria
Winemaker - Jorge Rodríguez

Bodega La Geria is located in the heart of Lanzarote’s main wine-growing region, also known as La Geria. It is one of the island’s most renowned wineries and among the most visited in all of Spain.

The winery was built in the late 19th century, but since 1993 it has been managed by its current owners, who introduced modern technology to ensure the highest quality in winemaking.

Today, Bodega La Geria has a production capacity of 450,000 liters, primarily stored in stainless steel tanks, with a smaller amount aged in oak barrels.

The annual production reaches around 300,000 bottles of young wines, made mainly from Malvasía Volcánica.

With a strong commitment to tradition and innovation, Bodega La Geria continues to share the authentic taste of Lanzarote with wine lovers from around the world.

Ordered a case of Yaiza Secco Blanco; 48 hours later it's arrived, well packaged and quick delivery...what more do you want? (Apart from being in Matagorda drinking the wine).

I had been looking online for somewhere in the uk that sold artemi honey rum, (after my duty free bottles had been drunk from my last visit to Lanza) I had a google to see if it was sold in the uk, so I was happy to come across Wine Shop Lanzarote. They were the best priced site that I found, and delivery was approx 5 days. Yes it is more expensive then buying it in Lanzarote, but this stuff is so nice especially on a hot day, and it's good to know that I can get it here in the uk.

Great Service :-)
I've ordered from Wine Shop Lanzarote twice now, and have been very satisfied with the ease of ordering on the site, the communication from the company and the speed at which the wine was delivered safely. Ollie and the team are doing a great job - and providing a fantastic service to give us the chance of tasting the wine from our favourite island, particularly valuable during a time when we can't get there ourselves.

Excellent wines at reasonable prices: these are not large scale ‘industrial’ vineyards but small artisanal vineyards working on uncompromising terroir with locally specific varietals like Malvasia. Unique wines & vermouths, so naturally slightly more expensive than run-of-the-mill stuff, but top quality and definitely worth it. And I had very good service from Ollie & Co.
