Award Winning Wines

The last few weeks have been a really successful time on the international wine scene for a host of Lanzarote's volcanic wines - which you will also find in Wine Shop Lanzarote!  A massive congratulations to all the bodegas, winemakers and farmers that have scooped these awards and gained recognition across the world.  

 

Bodega Vulcano de Lanzarote have won a gold medal award for their Moscatel Dolce at the Concours International de Lyon, a prestigious competition where 10,391 references were tasted from 49 countries.  

 

Meanwhile, Vulcano's Malvasia Volcanica Seco also took a gold at the Certamen International Contest AND last week at the highly regarded Concurso Bacchus international in Madrid.

 

 

Elsewhere, Bodega El Grifo's Seco Coleccion took home the gold medal at the 28th Edition of the prestigious Berliner Wine Trophy.  Meanwhile, also in Germany at the 31st Edition of the Mundus Vini contest, their Rosado was also awarded gold. 

 

 

Vega de Yuco has also been awarded a Gold medal at The Bacchus International Wine Competition for their Esencia Yaiza Seco 2023.  There were 1,900 references from 19 countries represented!

 

It's amazing to see these wines and wineries get recognised internationally in this way. It reflects the hard work of everyone envolved on the island throughout the process.  It continues to be a very exciting time for the wine industry on Lanzarote and these awards will no doubt help but the wines and the island further in the spotlight.
