An exotic white wine from a lesser produced but highly sought after grape known as Diego on Lanzarote, or Bujariego and Vijariego in the other Canary Islands. Rarer still is its 2018 vintage, making this a very rare and special example of an aged Lanzarote wine.  This wine has been barrel fermented, before being transferred and undergoing in bâtonnage stainless steel tanks, giving an additional layer of complexity to the higher acidity and natural freshness of this varietal.

Vulcano
Winemaker and Owner – Victor Diaz

Bodega Vulcano, with its stylish winery based in Tias was established in 2009. The current owner and winemaker Victor, is the 5th generation of winemaker in his family. Their concept of making wine has always been traditional yet in a boutique style, making wines both with identity and soul. They specialise in producing young wines, by having several fermentations throughout the year, to keep exquisite quality and freshness. The must is kept in a temperature controlled ‘must bank’ (unfermented grape juice) and then processed as and when required. They were the pioneers in this process on the Island and now may other wineries have followed suit.

All of the wines at Bodega Vulcano are officially certified as Vegan, due to their type of clarification and filtration processes. They are the only winery on Lanzarote with this certification.

Pale bright yellow.

Delicate aromas of white flowers, green apple and melon together with hints of aging notes particularly those of cloves and cinnamon.

Mouth
Fresh and balanced acidity with a certain note of creaminess on the palette, thanks to the aging process, which further contributes to its personality.

Ordered a case of Yaiza Secco Blanco; 48 hours later it's arrived, well packaged and quick delivery...what more do you want? (Apart from being in Matagorda drinking the wine).

I had been looking online for somewhere in the uk that sold artemi honey rum, (after my duty free bottles had been drunk from my last visit to Lanza) I had a google to see if it was sold in the uk, so I was happy to come across Wine Shop Lanzarote. They were the best priced site that I found, and delivery was approx 5 days. Yes it is more expensive then buying it in Lanzarote, but this stuff is so nice especially on a hot day, and it's good to know that I can get it here in the uk.

Great Service :-)
I've ordered from Wine Shop Lanzarote twice now, and have been very satisfied with the ease of ordering on the site, the communication from the company and the speed at which the wine was delivered safely. Ollie and the team are doing a great job - and providing a fantastic service to give us the chance of tasting the wine from our favourite island, particularly valuable during a time when we can't get there ourselves.

Excellent wines at reasonable prices: these are not large scale ‘industrial’ vineyards but small artisanal vineyards working on uncompromising terroir with locally specific varietals like Malvasia. Unique wines & vermouths, so naturally slightly more expensive than run-of-the-mill stuff, but top quality and definitely worth it. And I had very good service from Ollie & Co.
