A single parcel wine produced from centennial vines growing on Montaña Tinasoria.  It's a 50/50 blend of Malvasia Volcanica and Listan Blanco, all harvested manually in a really quite heroic landscape.  Back at the winery, once the spontaneous, non temperature controlled fermentation has taken place the wine is aged for 10 months in French oak barrels.  Malolactic fermentation is undertaken, before being bottled without filtration, clarification or addition of sulphite.  The finished wine is mineral rich with a salinity and only subtle fruit, thanks in part to the blend of Listan Blanco and secondly due to the fermentation temperature being carried out at ambient temperatures.

Winemakers – Eamonn Lopez O’Rourke / Pablo Matallana

Production – 5,000 Litres

A professional project since 2021, but many years in the making through Eamonn‘s passion and his family heritage of making wine and caring for vines. After the pandemic and a change from a previous occupation as a tourist submarine captain, he never looked back and now works alongside a young and renowned Canarian winemaker, Pablo Matallana. 4/24 is the time the clock broke, so if anyone asks that’s always the time in the bodega... and 4/24 is always a moment of peace and tranquillity for the family.

Pablo is a young consultant enologist from Tenerife but like many consultants working in the islands, he has plenty of experience in Lanzarote.

These most natural of wines are made in the most respectful way possible, without makeup or additives to preserve all the natural character of the landscape. Likewise the 12.5 hectares of vines, are cared for in an organic way.

Ordered a case of Yaiza Secco Blanco; 48 hours later it's arrived, well packaged and quick delivery...what more do you want? (Apart from being in Matagorda drinking the wine).

I had been looking online for somewhere in the uk that sold artemi honey rum, (after my duty free bottles had been drunk from my last visit to Lanza) I had a google to see if it was sold in the uk, so I was happy to come across Wine Shop Lanzarote. They were the best priced site that I found, and delivery was approx 5 days. Yes it is more expensive then buying it in Lanzarote, but this stuff is so nice especially on a hot day, and it's good to know that I can get it here in the uk.

Great Service :-)
I've ordered from Wine Shop Lanzarote twice now, and have been very satisfied with the ease of ordering on the site, the communication from the company and the speed at which the wine was delivered safely. Ollie and the team are doing a great job - and providing a fantastic service to give us the chance of tasting the wine from our favourite island, particularly valuable during a time when we can't get there ourselves.

Excellent wines at reasonable prices: these are not large scale ‘industrial’ vineyards but small artisanal vineyards working on uncompromising terroir with locally specific varietals like Malvasia. Unique wines & vermouths, so naturally slightly more expensive than run-of-the-mill stuff, but top quality and definitely worth it. And I had very good service from Ollie & Co.
