Unique gift ideas for a wine-loving Mum

With Mother’s Day fast approaching, we thought we would share a few gift ideas from Wine Shop Lanzarote!  It makes the perfect reminder of a Lanzarote holiday or a unique surprise for a wine loving Mum, who might just be blown away with the chance to try an undiscovered volcanic wine!

We of course have a few suggestions!  First up we have the Bermejo Brut Nature.  It’s an exceptional bubbly produced in the same way as Champagne.  Dry, rich and with fine bubbles, a blend of crisp freshness with some delicious savoury notes.   

Then there is the Malvasia Volcanica Semisweet, from the oldest winery in the Canaries, El Grifo.  It’s fresh, with a nice balance of acidity and thanks to the sweetness, a juicy blend of citrus and tropical flavours.  For those in the know about Lanzarote, this was Cesar Manrique’s favourite wine. 

For rose fans, the Island’s roses are dry.  A stunning example is Vulcano’s Rosado, rich, fresh and with soft red fruits and a touch of Lanzarote’s typical minerality.
